  • About Nayantara

Nayantara Jain is a classical pianist, university lecturer, and experienced educator of children.

She believes children should be nurtured in a cute and happy environment, forming positive associations with music and with the process of learning itself. She has iterated extensively on her creative teaching methods, having managed a studio of up to 35 students (of all ages) at once.

Nayantara was educated at Stanford University (BA), Mannes School of Music, and the San Francisco Conservatory of Music (MM).

Her academic background makes her a thoughtful observer of children and their psychology. Her conservatory training grounds her teaching in classical pianism, disciplined technique, and a true appreciation of art.

Nayantara is also a RYT-200 Yoga Alliance certified yoga instructor.

Before she came to yoga, Nayantara struggled with repetitive stress injuries from practice. Now she uses principles from her yoga training to ensure that every student learns how to sit at the piano without discomfort, practice seriously without strain, and fully enjoy the process of making music.
